Police remain unhurt as IED blast targets patrolling van in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near a police mobile van on Nasir Bagh Road in Peshawar early Friday morning while the officers remained safe in the attack.
According to initial reports, the police vehicle was on routine patrol when the explosion occurred. Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area, and a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately called to assess the scene and ensure no further threats were present.
A large police contingent reached the site to secure the area and launch an investigation. Authorities are now working to determine the nature of the device and identify those responsible.
Senior police official Shahzada Fahad stated that although the blast caused panic in the vicinity, no damage or loss of life occurred.
