ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The military contingents from brotherly countries of Turkiye and Azerbaijan on Wednesday participated in Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations held in Islamabad.
The troops of brotherly countries took part in the parade and also performed march-past on the occasion.
Their appearance was met with loud applause and enthusiastic chants from the audience, reflecting the deep and enduring friendship between Pakistan and the two nations.
The event emerged as a symbol of national unity, brotherhood, and sacrifice, as citizens from all walks of life participated with fervent patriotism, celebrating the historic day with pride and dignity.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, along with the heads of all three armed forces, attended the national ceremony.
The event was also graced by federal ministers, members of Parliament, and ambassadors from friendly countries.
Earlier, the grand ceremony celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq was held at Islamabad’s Jinnah Sports Stadium.
The music band comprising all three armed forces performed a spectacular march-past, with disciplined contingents from the Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, Punjab Rangers, and FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also showcasing their march-past drills.
