ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Celebrations to mark the 79th Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq across the country with full patriotic spirit started on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.

A grand ceremony in this connection will be held at the Jinnah Stadium Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal minister and other key military and civilian figures with attend the ceremony.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will also participate in the ceremony, where a JF-17 Thunder flypast will be showcased, along with patriotic songs and a musical show.

On the other hand, all major political parties have also announced plans to celebrate Independence Day with dignity and respect. The leaders of these parties have appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary extravagance and instead donate generously their money to the poor, needy, helpless, orphans, widows, and deserving individuals so that they too can actively participate and enjoy the Independence Day.
