MURREE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to expand the Punjab cabinet after getting approval from the party supremo Nawaz Sharif.
The decision was taken during the Sharif family huddle held in scenic Murree on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and former chief minister Hamza Shehbaz.
During the meeting, the Sharif family discussed the country’s political landscape and pressing public issues in detail.
Following Nawaz Sharif’s proposal, it was decided to induct 10 new ministers and advisers into the Punjab cabinet next month.
The majority of the new appointees are expected to come from South Punjab.
Sources revealed that Nawaz Sharif has been staying in Murree for the past three days.

It was further reported that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will jointly shortlist the names of the new ministers and advisers, with a formal announcement to be made after final consultations.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed overall political situation with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif in Murree.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed the party leader on his recent meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari.
The two leaders discussed legislation on a proposed constitutional amendment bill, as well as the potential nomination for the new Chief Election Commissioner.
PM Shehbaz also informed Nawaz Sharif about the reservations raised by PPP over certain clauses of the proposed constitutional package.
