ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has objected to modus operandi the coalition government has adopted for the passage of constitutional amendment package in parliament.

In his second meeting on Friday night, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman told PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto that the way the government had adopted for creating consensus on constitutional amendment package was not appropriate.

It was the second meeting between the leaders of two main political parties within 12 hours.

Bilawal Bhutto reached the resident of the Maulana. Bilawal was accompanied by Naveed Qamar, Murtaza Wahab and Jamil Soomro.

The meeting lasted more than one hour. Bilawal convinced the Maulana to give his nod to the package prepared by the coalition government, saying, “We desire you should support us for this constitutional amendment package.”

Giving response to Bilawal’s demand, Maulana said, “The PTI has sought time. They will have a meeting with their leader in jail for consultation on the package. The way government has adopted the amendment is not right.”
