LAHORE (Dunya News) – In a bid to stave off Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s(PTI) protests across several cities, the Punjab government on Saturday continued with its plan of imposing Section 144, this time in southern parts of Punjab.

The Punjab government imposed Section 144 in five districts including Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur and Kot Addu. A notification by the home department has also been shared in this regard.

According to the notification, any political gathering, rally or sit-in will not be allowed from Oct 12 to Oct 14.

The latest imposition of Section 144 was said to be finalised after requests from the districts administrations.
