RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Friday called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
The duo discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Malaysian prime minister acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces of Pakistan while lauding their professional expertise during the war against terror.
The Malaysian PM also appreciated Pakistan Army’s role in ensuring regional peace. The duo also exchanged views on defence cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the visiting PM invited the COAS to visit Malaysia and the army chief thanked him.
