Monthly support for visually impaired and Rs500m were allocated for writers welfare fund
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Punjab cabinet on Tuesday approved the recruitment of over 7,000 college teaching interns across the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired the cabinet meeting while ministers and others concerned attended it.
In its 16th meeting, the cabinet discussed various matters, including the introduction of a comprehensive housing policy.
The cabinet praised the police personnel serving in Rahim Yar Khan and Kacha areas besides approving a special allowance for them.

Additionally, the chief minister stopped the increase in hostel fees for working women and appreciated the smooth conduct of MDCAT exams.
A monthly support plan for the visually impaired was announced, and Rs 500 million were allocated to the Writers' Welfare Endowment Fund.
The cabinet also praised the Irrigation department officials for effectively managing the floods.
