ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Advisor to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday said that government has set targets to achieve fast progress in every sector of the country.

He said “We will achieve the targets at any cost to bring peace, and prosperity for the people of this country”, he said while talking to a private television channel.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Balochistan are passing through wave of terrorism and intelligence-based operation was continuing to maintain peace and tranquility in these areas, he said.

Commenting on phone call taping issue, he said that Rangers, police and armed forces “Jawans” are fighting against the miscreants to wipe out terrorism from the KP and Balochistan region.

The telephone call taping might be essential for law enforcement agencies to trace suspicious elements spreading terror in different parts of the KP and Balochistan areas, he added.

Disrupting peace was halting economic and business activity particularly in KP and Balochistan regions, he stated.

The government is determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism to gain permanent peace for continuing business and development activities in these areas, he said.

In replying to a question about statement of PTI founder regarding phone taping, he said that the PTI leaders had given statements in favour of phone taping for national security reasons.
