Interior minister calls for a plan to make ID card system foolproof
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the authorities concerned to prepare a plan for making the identity card system foolproof.
Interior Minister Naqvi visited the NADRA headquarters in Islamabad and met officials.
On this occasion, a meeting was held in which the proposals to make NADRA public-friendly were reviewed.
Naqvi directed for a plan to make the identity cards system foolproof. He said the plan should be made to make it easy for people to get their ID cards without delay.
He directed officials to set up more NADRA centres in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The interior minister said the facility of making and renewing identity cards would be given at the union council level. He said the biometric machines would be installed at the union council level across Pakistan.
