LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and newly elected member of National Assembly Attaullah Tarar has said the Presidency has become a den of conspiracies and the sitting president has failed to do justice to his constitutional position.

Speaking to media at the PML-N Secretariat on Sunday, Tarar said that President Alvi was not convening a National Assembly session despite having received a summary.

The president was reluctant to meet his constitutional obligations, he said, adding that he had become an activist of the PTI, harming the continuity of democracy.

Tarar alleged that President Alvi was holding secret meetings with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders. “We are trying to hold onto democratic values but the president seems to derail the democracy.”

Coming down hard on the PTI founder, Tarar questioned the basis on which a prisoner was writing a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding an audit of the general elections.
