ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Aleema Khan on Tuesday challenged the notices issued by the FIA in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder, through Advocate Shiraz Ranjha, filed two petitions and requested the IHC to fix them for hearing today.

She requested the court to suspend the FIA cybercrime circle's Feb 2 notice and order it to provide evidence and records against her.

It may be recalled that the counter-terrorism wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summoned her to its headquarters on Tuesday (today) to question her for allegedly spreading hatred against the state and “creating a divide” between the people and the armed forces.

Assistant Director (Investigation) Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh sent her a notice stating that inquiry No 4/24 had been initiated by an FIA sector officer on the request of the Ministry of Interior.

The inquiry has been moved on charges of spreading hateful material through a speech and committing anti-state activities and criminal conspiracy to create division between the public and the army. The notice has been served under Section 160 of CrPC.

“If you do not appear, it will be considered that you have nothing to say in your defence and in such a case, a legal action will be taken against you,” says the notice.

The notice was posted on her Lahore address.
