ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started delivery of ballot papers in some areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by air. 

According to the ECP, ballot papers will be airlifted to Gwadar, Panjgur, Kech and Kharan in Balochistan, and also flown to Bajaur and Kurram Agency regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ballot papers for national and provincial assemblies’ elections would be delivered through helicopters and C-130 planes, it added. 

Meanwhile, ECP sources said the printing of ballot papers for Balochistan had been completed, while 90 per cent of papers for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been printed. 

Similarly, 90 per cent of ballot papers for Punjab and 70 per cent for Sindh had been printed, they continued. 

They said delivery of ballot papers to the provinces was in progress. 

A total 260 million ballot papers will be printed till Feb 3 for general elections to be held on Feb 8.
