PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least nine people including five women suffered injuries in a cylinder blast at a house in Landi Sarak area of Peshawar. 

One of the injured was stated to be in a critical condition. A Rescue 1122 official said the injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) for treatment. 

Earlier on Jan 15, as many as 20 people were injured as a result of a cylinder blast at a shop in Kabotar Chowk. 

The rescue officials had said children were among the injured.

In October 2023, two persons were injured in a cylinder blast in an eatery near Maskin Chaurangi area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. SSP East Irfan Ali Bahadur also confirmed the incident as he said the cylinder blast took place in a fast-food restaurant.

“The shop was closed at the time of blast and there were a number of cylinders in the shop,” said police. 

Two passersby suffered injuries in the blast and they were immediately shifted to hospital. The injured are now out of danger, say rescue officials.

The vehicles parked outside the apartment were badly damaged in the blast. Police said the rescue operation was still in progress.
