ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has designated around 50 percent of the polling stations established across the country for the general elections on February 8 as either “sensitive” or “highly sensitive”.

According to details, the ECP established a total of 90,675 polling stations across the country, with 46,065 of them identified as "sensitive" or "most sensitive".

Of these 46,065 polling stations, 27,628 have been declared as "sensitive" and 18,437 as "most sensitive".

In Punjab, about 6,040 polling stations are marked as "highly sensitive" while 12,580 are categorised as "sensitive".

In Sindh, approximately 6,524 polling stations are declared as "highly sensitive" with 6,545 designated as "sensitive".

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,143 polling stations are designated as "highly sensitive" and 6,166 are categorised as "sensitive".

In Balochistan, out of a total of 5,028 polling stations, 1,730 have been declared "highly sensitive" and 2,337 as "sensitive".
