Judge Muhammad Bashir applies for long leave till retirement

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Accountability court judge of Islamabad Muhammad Bashir has applied for long leave on medical grounds till his retirement.
Sources said Judge Bashir had requested for long leave from January 24 to March 14 on medical grounds through a letter sent to Islamabad High Court and Ministry of Law and Justice. In the letter, the judge said he was unwell and unable to discharge his official duties.
It may be recalled that Judge Bashir has to retire on March 14, 2024. He is hearing two reference relating to Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases.
A few days ago, Judge Bashir's had to be rushed to hospital when, during hearing of a case in Adiala Jail, his blood pressure shot up.
