ATC defers hearing on bail pleas of PTI founder, Qureshi, Rashid in May 9 attacks cases

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court of Rawalpindi on Saturday deferred hearing of appeals for bail of the PTI founder, former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid Ahmed without any proceedings.

The three leaders had filed appeals in the anti-terrorism court in 12 cases relating to May 9 tragedy. In the previous hearing, the court had sought record from the SHOs of all the 12 police stations relating to cases.

As ATC Judge Malik Ijaz Asif was on leave, the proceedings on the appeals were deferred till January 24.

In this regard, investigation teams of all police stations and prosecutors have been directed to attend the court on next date of hearing.
