The PML-N ignored Daniyal while awarding tickets for elections after which he announced to run
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former federal minister Daniyal Aziz, who failed to get a nod from the PML-N for the Feb 8 elections, on Thursday announced to contest his parent party.
The Muslim League-Nawaz leadership ignored Daniyal while awarding tickets for general elections after which he announced to run as an independent candidate.
Talking to media here, Daniyal said that he was hospitalised and therefore could not apply for the party ticket. “An unknown person has been given the ticket instead of me,” he added.
He blamed “bigwig” in the PML-N for his ouster from the party. “I did not talk to the party leadership about ignoring me.”
He said he was shown the door for talking about inflation in the country. “The most important issue for the common man is inflation. I will take part in the elections and end inflation,” he continued.
Daniyal announced that his wife would also contest elections as an independent candidate.
