ECP asks senators to declare assets by Jan 15

ECP has urged Senators who have not yet submitted their statements to fulfil their legal obligation.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday asked 28 senators to submit their yearly statements of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2023–24 to the commission by January 15.
In a press release, the ECP urged members of the Upper House who have not yet submitted their statements to fulfill their legal obligation.
It stated that the membership of Senators not complying with this legal provision shall be suspended on the 16th of this month, in accordance with Section 173(3) of the Election Act 2017.
According to details, 28 senators, including Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Musadik Masood Malik, Mian Raza Rabbani, Taj Haider,Nisar Khuro, and others, did not submit the details of their assets.
