ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief on Friday filed bail petition the Supreme Court in the cipher case.

The former premier made Naseem Khokhar and the federal government parties to the petition.

The petitioner submitted before the apex court that the cipher was a politically motivated case and the trial court did not consider this fact while hearing his plea.

The PTI chairman contended that the bail application has been filed under Article 185 of the Constitution. The cipher case is a manifestation of the maliciousness of the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency), he added.

The petitioner supplicated that he be granted bail in the case order the authorities to set him free.
