Producing PTI chief in ECP today security risk, Interior Ministry informs commission

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The ministry of interior will not produce the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) due to security reasons.
The ministry and Islamabad police have informed the ECP in this regard citing that production of former premier would be a security risk. The ministry issued the apology to the ECP.
According to the ECP sources the commission has issued production order of the PTI chief, however, he would not be produced despite issuance of such orders. The ECP has fixed a contempt case today (Tuesday) in which the former premier would be indicted. A petition seeking the removal of PTI chief as the party chairman has been fixed for hearing on October 26.
It is important to mention here that as per the production orders, the PTI chairman has to be presented before the ECP in the contempt case.
