British envoy meets caretaker information minister
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In order to enhance bilateral cooperation, caretaker Information Minister Murtza Solangi met British High Commission Political Consul Zoe Ware on Friday.
On the occasion, Solangi said Pakistan always valued its relations with the UK and wanted to promote bilateral ties in the field of media and communication.
He said the UNDP’s Safe Digital Environment Programme would help reduce misinformation and identify the hateful narratives.
“Fake news, misinformation and disinformation was growing problem for the whole world that needed to be tackled effectively.
Training of Pakistani journalists from the Britain’s modern media can help control the issue,” he said.
The caretaker minister also discussed the cooperation in the area of film and drama-making, informing the British High Commission Political consul about the activities, concerning the upcoming election in the country.

On the occasion, Ware assured her full support in promoting bilateral ties between the two countries.
