Political parties should create space for each other: Fazl
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the political parties on Tuesday to create space for each other for creating certainty in the political process.
He gave a much needed suggestion to political parties to strengthen the political environment and democratic traditions after the demands of level playing field from all sides.
PDM chief said in an informal conversation that the time has come for politicians and political parties to show maturity otherwise, neither of the country's problems will be solved.
He added that a politician can have a different opinion or a different position from anyone, but he should not be a victim of political chaos.
He said that the strength of democracy was not in obstinacy and stubbornness but in the strength of democratic attitudes and at this time both Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah were suffering from many problems while mentioning that economic development and stability was connected with political and internal stability.
The head of PDM said due to the politicians themselves, there have been difficulties for democracy in the past and present.
He said that despite the differences of opinion among the politicians, political space was mandatory adding everyone has the right to give a political manifesto but the first priority was the supremacy of the parliament.
