LAHORE (Dunya News) – PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz has politely declined an invitation from the Government College University (GCU), as confirmed by party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday.

According to the former information minister, Maryam Nawaz intends to visit educational institutions to advance the cause of higher education, specifically to aid and empower the youth in reaching their full potential, at a later time.

The invitation from the GCU was received by the PML-N chief organiser's office on October 5.

Marriyum Aurangzeb stated that PML-N believed that the primary mission of educational institutions was to provide high-quality education and promote values of good moral and social behaviour.

She added that educational institutions should not be exploited for personal or political aspirations.

She regretted that in the recent past, the GCU had been utilised to advance personal ambitions and political agendas. "The PML-N does not endorse this misguided approach."
