Islamabad AC summons former Sindh CM Shah in Nooriabad plant case

The former chief minister has been accused of causing a loss of Rs8 billion to the national kitty

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Former Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah has been summoned by an Islamabad accountability court in the Nooriabad Power Plant corruption reference.

The AC has recently revi­ved the case against the PPP leader after the Supreme Court of Pakistan annul­­led the amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO).

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has accused Shah of misusing authority and awarding contracts without feasibility studies of the projects.
