Justice Khan will run the court affairs until the appointment of a regular chief justice
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Justice Irfan Saadat Khan of the Sindh High Court was sworn in as Acting Chief Justice.
Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi administered the oath on Justice Khan on Tuesday.
Justice Khan is the most senior judge of the High Court.
It may be recalled that President Arif Alvi on Saturday appointed Justice Khan as the acting chief justice of the Sindh High Court as incumbent Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh was to retire on Oct 2.
Justice Khan will run the court affairs until the appointment of a regular chief justice by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
