PM Kakar reaches Pakistan after wrapping up Saudi Arabia visit

JEDDAH (APP) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar on Friday reached back Pakistan after concluding his three-day visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in the day, Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Badr bin Sultan, Ambassador of Pakistan and senior officials of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah saw off the prime minister at the airport in Kingdom, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar stated that it would be beyond the authority of the caretaker government to intervene, should the courts legally disqualify the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief after all available legal avenues have been exhausted.

“The fate of PTI chairman is not final (as yet). There are judicial remedies available to him… And if all the options are utilised judicially, then yes, there is a possibility that he may legally be barred from that process which is beyond the control of the caretaker government,” the prime minister said in an interview with BBC HARDtalk during his visit to London.
