PTI lawyer told the court that Bushra Bibi's has left Lahore and will reach Islamabad before 12 noon
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An accountability court on Tuesday extended interim bail of PTI chief's wife Bushra Bibi in Toshakaha and 190 million pounds scandal till October 12.
Latif Khosa argued that the NAB had given a statement that the arrest of Bushra Bibi is not required.
He said the word 'at present' used by the NAB prosecutor were objectionable.
Considering the word, he said, he has brought some decisions of the higher judiciary in this regard. If the authorities change their mind, then they have to inform the court before arresting an accused.
Earlier, a district and sessions court fixed the hearing of a case of fake invoices against Chairman PTI's wife Bushra Bibi for 12 noon.
PTI lawyer Khalid Yusuf informed judge Tahir Abbas Sipra that Bushra Bibi's has left Lahore and will reach Islamabad before 12 midday.
It may be recalled that the case of fake invoices was registered against Bushra Bibi by Kohsar police station. The police alleged that she forged receipts for the gifts her husband received from Saudi Arabia when he was prime minister of the country.
Meanwhile, the accountability court of Islamabad also fixed the hearing of the Toshakhana and 190 million pounds scandal case against Bushra Bibi for 12 noon.
At the outset of hearing, judge Muhammad Bashir asked the lawyer where Bushra Bibi was. The lawyer told the court that she would reach the court in time as she has started journey to Islamabad.
Moreover, Latif Khosa has gone to Attock jail in connection with cipher case against the PTI chairman and he would be back to plead Bushra Bibi case.
It may be noted that Bushra Bibi is on bail in the 190 million pounds scandal and Toshakhana cases till Tuesday (today).
