IRSA releases 201,800 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD (APP) – The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Sunday released 201,800 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 161,100 cusecs.

According to the data released by the IRSA, the water level in Indus River at Tarbela Dam stood at 1547.36 feet, and was 149.36 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 96,700 cusecs and 110,000 cusecs, respectively.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla Dam stood at 1230.85 feet, which was 180.85 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded 10,600 cusecs and 38,000 cusecs, respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa , Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 117,700, 117,500, 99,900 and 43,300 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from Kabul River, a total of 21,700 cusecs water released at Nowshera and 4,700 cusecs released from Chenab River at Marala.
