Delays, cancellations mar PIA flight operations
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The flight operation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) remains uncertain as at least 10 flights have been canceled on Saturday.
Aviation sources say the schedule of 10 flights of the national carrier is subject to changes and delays.
According to details, the flights PK 501 and PK 502 operating between Karachi and Turbat have been cancelled.
Similarly, the up-and-down flights of PK 302 and PK 303 for Lahore have been cancelled.
Another two flights, PK 368 and PK 369, operating between Karachi and Islamabad, have been cancelled.
Likewise, two more flights, PK 336 and PK 337, from Karachi to Sukkur and Sukkur to Karachi have been cancelled.
Also the two flights of PK 340 from Karachi to Faisalabad and PK 341 from Faisalabad to Karachi have been cancelled.
Similarly, many PIA flights operated behind the scheduled time.
Sources say the PIA flight PK 741 from Islamabad to Jeddah was delayed by four and a half hours, while PK 601 from Islamabad to Gilgit was also delayed.
The flight PK 301 from Islamabad to Karachi was delayed by two and a half hours. Similarly, the flight PK 725 from Lahore to Riyadh departed three hours late, while the flight PK 605 from Islamabad to Gilgit departed 50 minutes behind the schedule.
The flight PK 325 from Islamabad to Quetta was delayed by an hour and 20 minutes, and the flight PK 509 from Islamabad to Turbat by one-and-a-half hour. The flight PK 310 from Karachi to Quetta was also delayed by two hours.
Likewise, the flight PK 300 to Islamabad was delayed by two and a half hours.
The flights PK 168 to Al-Qasim from Multan and PK 221 to Dubai were delayed by two hours.
