Swedish woman reaches Swat in pursuit of love, accepts Islam

(Web Desk) - In yet another incident of transborder love marriage, a Swedish woman has tied the knot with a young Pakistani man in Swat. 

She is one of several girls or women from foreign countries, who have travelled all the way to Pakistan in pursuit of love. 

A 44-year-old woman who came to Pakistan to marry 23-year-old Ahmed Shah, a resident of Charbagh, has also embraced Islam. 

Shah belongs to Aallahbad Charbagh area of Swat and is a student of BS English. 

Reports said both of them became friends on social media and their friendship converted into relationship when the woman reached Swat and married him. The couple later moved to settle in Islamabad. 

Anju from India 

A few months earlier, an Indian woman from Alwar, Anju, travelled all the way to Upper Dir in Pakistan in July, converted to Islam and married her Pakistani lover Nasrullah.

She had been given the Islamic name of Fatima. Her story made headlines globally.
