Kakar arrives in GB on two-day visit
GILGIT (APP) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar arrived here in Gilgit-Baltistan on a two-day visit.
Accompanied by Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi, the prime minister laid a floral wreath at the monument of martyrs at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
A contingent of GB Scouts presented guard of honour to the prime minister. The caretaker prime minister was briefed by GB Chief Secretary Mohyuddin Wani on various issues.
Later, he visited an exhibition of science models by students and took keen interest in the innovative models. He also interacted with the students.
The prime minister lauded the abilities of the children and said Pakistan had a bright future ahead due to its talented youth. He appreciated the knowledge of young girls and boys on environmental issues.
During his two-day visit, the prime minister will hold meetings with the governor and the chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
In addition, the prime minister will also chair a meeting to review progress on ongoing development schemes as well as law and order situation.
PM Kakar will also meet the political leadership of Gilgit and Hunza, besides local notables.
