Bilawal says PPP is ready for elections

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday that the party’s allies were running away from the elections.

Addressing a function in Hyderabad, Bilawal said, "Hyderabad has always supported the PPP whenever it is needed. The PPP is prepared to face the upcoming elections.” He expressed his determination to continue the legacy of his family in serving the people of Pakistan.

Bilawal reminded the crowd of the historical significance of Hyderabad and its association with his family's commitment to public service. He credited his late mother, Benazir Bhutto, and his grandfather, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, for their contributions to Pakistan.

Talking about the former premier Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal said that even when she was in trouble, the people of Hyderabad stood by her and supported her and made her the prime minister of the country not once but twice.

Furthermore, Bilawal spoke about the historic role of women in Pakistani politics and the challenges they have faced. He mentioned that the PPP had successfully confronted character assassination campaigns orchestrated against them and urged the youth to be vigilant and discerning about the true causes of Pakistan's problems.

The PPP chairman emphasised his party's dedication to the welfare of the people and took a dig at the PTI government, mentioning the controversy around the treatment of former prime minister and PTI chairman. He emphasised the importance of proper healthcare facilities for all citizens and criticised the MQM-P for their alleged neglect of Karachi's water crisis.

He pointed out that the issue of water scarcity has persisted in Sindh for decades, even though numerous projects have been proposed by different governments. He cited the efforts of his family in initiating water projects in the region and credited his party for making strides in addressing the water crisis in Hyderabad.

The PPP chairman assured his supporters that the PPP would continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and promote unity among the opposition parties in the upcoming elections.

He said the PPP would not let find the PTI chairman any political space in the whole country, adding the political puppet would not be able to win elections.

He mentioned that if PPP’s allies were running away from elections then let them run as polls would determine the country’s future and no party should ever shy away from it.

He said that only the PPP had completed the development work in the city, adding that the MQM-P did nothing for the city.

Bilawal counted the PPP's feats and development projects during the previous era and vowed to deliver masses with development projects if the PPP wins upcoming elections.
