Rawalpindi records 21 new dengue cases, active tally climbs to 366

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – With 21 more people testing positive for the virus in the past 24 hours, the total number of dengue cases has reached 366 in Rawalpindi.

According to a District Health Authority official, 12 patients arrived from the Potohar town’s urban area, four from Chaklala Cantonment, two from the Municipal Corporation area and one from Kalar Syeda, and one each from Murree and Wah.

Dr Ijaz said that 303 confirmed patients had been discharged after recovery, while 80 patients were admitted to the district’s health facilities, of which 63 were positive cases.

During the last 24 hours, he said that the district administration had registered 50 FIRs, issued tickets to seven, sealed four premises, and imposed a fine of Rs188,500 on violations of dengue SOPs.
