The provincial parliamentary committee have three days to name the caretaker CM Balochistan.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Baton passed to parliamentary committee to name caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan as meeting between incumbent CM Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Leader of the Opposition Malik Sikandar Khan ended without any decision being made, Dunya News reported.
The provincial parliamentary committee have three days to name the caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan. If the committee is unable to finalise a name, the ECP then steps in and has two days to announce a name.
Earlier, the meeting between the Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo and the Balochistan Assembly opposition leader, Malik Sikander Khan for the nomination of the caretaker chief minister (CM) remained inconclusive.
Sources said, Khan met with Bizenjo in Islamabad to have a consultation on the name of caretaker CM after dissolution of the Balochistan Assembly. Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and other leaders of Balochistan Awami Party were also present in the meeting.
They said Khan had named former MNA Engineer Mir Usman Badini for this slot but the government did not agree on his name as the caretaker CM. The meeting ended without any breakthrough, sources said.
