Notification of dissolution of National Assembly issued

After issuance of notification, legal formalities regarding dissolution of NA have been completed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has issued official notification of the dissolution of the National Assembly.
President Dr. Arif Alvi signed the summary sent by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, after which the National Assembly and Cabinet were dissolved.
The president gave approval to dissolve the assembly under Article 58-1 of the Constitution.
After issuance of notification, all legal formalities regarding dissolution of the assembly have been completed.
With the dissolution of the assembly, federal ministers, ministers of state, advisers and assistants have been relieved of their assignment. In addition, the deputy speaker and parliamentary secretaries have also ceased to exist.
However, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf will remain in office until the next speaker is sworn in.
