NA committee recommends putting IUB accused names on ECL
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Education recommended the government to put the name of all the suspects of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur scandal on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The issue was discussed at length in the standing committee meeting chaired by its chairman Samiul Hassan Gillani.
District Police Officer Muhammad Abbas gave a briefing to the committee members on the issue.
The committee also recommended to put the name of the university vice chancellor, Athar Mahboob, on the ECL.
The standing committee chairman said a committee, led by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) head, would probe the issue and the Federal Investigation Agency and the DPO would help it.
