Entire nation is saddened by Bajaur blast: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condoled on Monday with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for the attack on the party workers' convention in Bajaur.

The premier visited the residence of Fazl. On the occasion, he said: "The entire nation is saddened by the Bajaur blast. The attack on the JUI-F workers' convention is an attack on the democracy.

PM Shehbaz prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal rest to the departed souls and patience to members of the bereaved families to bear the loss.

The premier assured Fazl that he had directed the concerned authorities to provide the best medical aid to the blast victims.

He expressed his determination to bring those responsible for the suicide blast to justice.

Separately, Fazl said: "The Bajaur blast has left the Muslim world in grief and sorrow. The JUI-F workers' convention was a gathering of innocent people. The message of this convention was to spread peace".

Fazl said, "This is not an attack on JUI-F but on Pakistan and the entire Muslim world".

The JUI-F supremo made it clear that such incidents will not dampen the morale of the people.
