Motorway Police advises motorists to drive carefully during rain

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk/APP) - As many as 35 passengers suffered multiple injuries after four buses and two cars collided with each other on the M-1 (Islamabad-Peshawar) motorway.

The incident took place near the Burhan Interchange. The victims with minor injuries have been shifted to nearby hospitals.

According to reports, 11 people are critically injured.

In the meanwhile, the National Highways and Motorway Police advised the motorists to drive carefully as intermittent rain continued in different parts of the country.

“More caution is required in driving during rain and people are requested to avoid unnecessary travel during rain”, said a Motorway Police spokesman.

He said that the speed of vehicles should be kept lower than normal conditions and the distance between the vehicles should be more than usual.

He said it should be ensured that wipers are in good condition and compliance with traffic rules should also be ensured.
