LHC’s Justice Shahid Karim conducted hearing of the petitions filed in the public interest and remarked that extensive tree planting must be undertaken across the Punjab including Lahore.

The high court also directed the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on speedy plantation of trees in Chhanga Manga.

During the hearing the LHC coordinator said a report about plantation in 64 colleges had been sought from the Director of Colleges.
