An FIR was registered by Abpara Police Station on the charges of sedition and terrorism
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Cases have been registered against anchorpersons Sabir Shakir, Moeed Pirzada and Akbar Hussain for allegedly inciting people to violence on May 9.
PTI workers resorted to violent protests when the party chief was arrested on the Islamabad High Court premises on May 9. An FIR was registered by the Abpara police on the charges of sedition and terrorism on the complaint of a citizen, Majid Mehmood.
The complainant claimed that a violent crowd gathered in Melody area in the federal capital and was taking instructions directly from the nominated suspects via video. The suspects provoked innocent people via video messages and social media posts and were playing the role of instruments of foreign anti-state agencies, he added.
"Rebellion and chaos were spread in the country by attacking military installations," the FIR stated.
