Islamabad court summons Fawad Chaudhry on June 17 in sedition case

The summons were issued after the former minister failed to attend today's hearing

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A court in the federal capital summoned former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on June 17 in a case involving charges of sedition. 

Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra issued the notice to the former information minister after a bailiff informed the judge that he could not contact the suspect.

"Have you made a call to Fawad Chaudhry to tell him that his case is fixed for hearing today"? the judge inquired. The bailiff said the mobile number of the former minister was switched off. 

Judge Tahir Abbas issued summons for Mr Chaudhry and directed the court official to send the notice at his house address. 

The court also summoned the guarantor and adjourned the hearing till June 17.
