PIA will conduct 315 flight to transport 65000 passenger intending to perform Hajj

 KARACHI (Dunya News) – First Hajj flight departed from Pakistan for Saudi Arabia tonight  from Karachi, marking the start of Hajj flight operations.

According to reports, the first hajj flight departed around 4am from Jinnah International Airport Karachi. The flight destined for Madina took off with 330 passengers on board.

Pakistan Internation Airlines (PIA), the national flag carrier, will use the fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus 320’s for the Hajj operations. PIA will conduct 315 special and scheduled flight to transport 65000 passenger intending to perform the sacred religious obligation.

However, due to the rampant inflation in the country, the number of people going for Hajj fell drastically low than usual levels. Pakistan ranks among the top nations who treats the Hajj with special zeal and enthusiasm and a large number of people intending for Hajj travel from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia every year.
