Pakistan's foreign minister hosts luncheon in honor of Afghan counterpart

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Afghan Interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Sunday, where he was welcomed by Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The visit was focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and discussing important issues of mutual concern, according to a statement released by the foreign office.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed issues such as bilateral peace and security, trade, connectivity, and expanding counter-terrorism and bilateral cooperation. They reiterated their determination to continue regular and practical communication at the bilateral level.

In addition to this, both sides also agreed to visit the obstacles in the corridor trade and economic development. The visit was aimed at finding ways to enhance economic ties between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also hosted a luncheon in honour of the Afghan counterpart and the delegation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
