PM Shehbaz off to UK to attend King Charles III's coronation ceremony

The premier will meet his brother Nawaz Sharif in London

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Britain to participate in the coronation ceremony of King Charles III. The premier has been officially invited to the ceremony. 

Mr Sharif will also meet his brother - former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who has been staying in the UK for the last couple of years on "medical grounds".

Sources in the Prime Minister's House said PM Shehbaz would discuss the economic and political situation of the country besides party's matters with his brother. They said the premier would apprise Nawaz Sharif of the ongoing talks with the PTI and future plans.

“The UK-Pakistan relations are rooted in shared history & multifaceted bonds that have grown stronger over the decades,” the prime minister in connection with his visit to the UK tweeted on Wednesday. He said the British monarch and the royal family had been great friends of Pakistan.

He said he would also attend the Commonwealth leaders’ summit as well as engage with other world leaders bilaterally.
