Four killed, 13 injured as factory damaged by blaze collapses in Karachi

The rescue sources said that all the deceased were fire fighters who were busy in cooling process.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least four persons were killed and 13 other were injured when a factory located in Gabol Town which was damaged in a fire earlier in the day collapsed on Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.

According to details, fire fighters and rescue teams were busy in cooling process after extinguishing the blaze in the factory when the building suddenly collapsed, burying several fire fighters and civilian under the rubble.

The rescue teams retrieved four dead bodies from the debris and pulled out 13 persons in injured condition. The deceased were identified as Mohsin, Afzal, Sohail and Khalid Shahzad.

The rescue sources said that all the deceased were fire fighters who were busy in cooling process. The injured included 11 fire fighters and two civilians. The rescue operation is ongoing till filing of this report.
