Four killed, one injured in road accidents in Bahawalnagar, Tank

Rescue teams have shifted the dead and injured to nearby hospitals.

BAHAWALNAGAR/TANK (Dunya News) – At least four persons were killed and one more was injured in two separate road accidents in Bahawalnagar and Tank on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the first accident occurred at the Jalwala Road in Bahawalnagar where two youth were killed and one more was wounded in collision between two motorcycles due to over-speeding.

Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. According to rescue sources, the deceased were identified as Zain and Muhammad Rashid.

The second accident took place in Jandola area of Tank where two youth were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding pick-up.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to hospital.

Road accidents are quite common in Pakistan, making it one of the hazardous countries. Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
