QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Balochistan Minister for Interior Zia Lango on Tuesday presided over a meeting in Quetta to discuss the security situation in the province.
The meeting was attended by the additional chief secretary interior and the additional police IG, who briefed the minister on the current security situation.
During the meeting, the security forces told that there were four terrorist attacks reported in the past two days, with the majority of these attacks targeting security forces.
The police were praised for their proactive response, which helped to prevent many casualties.
However, the minister for interior stressed the need for more proactive actions to be taken to stop terrorists from attacking security personnel.
He directed the provincial government to provide the necessary resources on a priority basis to counter terrorism.
He also assured that all necessary steps would be taken and modern equipment provided to ensure the safety of police personnel.
