Claims his decisions ‘divided’ respectable institution of Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial should immediately step down.

Using his Twitter handle, the JUI-F chief said CJP Bandial’s ‘controversial’ decisions had ‘divided’ the respectable institution of Supreme Court.

The PDM chief said the CJP had brought the Supreme Court and parliament face to face. Fazl alleged that his (CJP’s) decisions had pushed the state in a crisis-like situation. The only solution to this problem, he said, was resignation of the chief justice. So the CJP should resign without any further delay, he said.
