Imran Khan should have been arrested on May 25 last year: Sanaullah

Sanaullah said that I had requested the cabinet to allow me to arrest PTI chief which was denied.

LONDON (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan should have been arrested on May 25 last year, Dunya News reported.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News in London, Rana Sanaullah said that I had requested the cabinet to allow me to arrest the PTI chief which was denied. He said that there are solid evidences of corruption against Imran Khan and the decision to arrest him has to be taken by the institutions.

Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan was spreading a false narrative by portraying himself as a savior by trapping the country in a quagmire of problems.

Talking about Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah said that he will reach Pakistan before the elections. He said that Nawaz Sharif himself will announce the date of his return to Pakistan.

Replying to a question, he said that Maryam Nawaz has proved that she is worthy of the post of chief organizer of the party. The minister said that Maryam Nawaz will depart for Dubai on January 27 and arrive in Lahore on the 28th.
